ABOUT US
In operation since 1994 and formally known as Colorado Bike and Ski Tours, CBST has since been revamped and rebranded to create Colorado Adventure Guides and sister company Colorado Snowboard Guides. CSG is Colorado's premier snowboard specific guide service. Created by riders and for riders we are a grassroots and local guide service that was developed with you in mind. With the increase in lift prices and capacities, more and more people are now starting to venture into the backcountry. With this increase CSG noticed the demand to fulfill an outlet for snowboarders to further their skill-sets off-piste through courses in backcountry education, guided trips, and mentorship while helping spread the passion to others. Located in the heart of Colorado, our office is our sanctuary and our goal is to bring you into the backcountry to experience what this beautiful world has to offer. Experience life #beyondtheresort

Shane Wolfe
AIARE Instructor/Guide
Shane has spent the past 15 winters almost exclusively on his splitboard. He averages over 100 days a season all throughout the Western U.S. working as a guide/instructor and wild-land firefighter on a Helicopter Rappel crew for the U.S. Forest Service. Shane also spent 2 winters in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho working as a tail guide for Sun Valley Trekking and managing 6 different backcountry yurts. The internship focused on using AMGA ski/splitboard guiding techniques, criteria, and curriculum all under the supervision of qualified AMGA Ski guides. He also works as a qualified AIARE instructor teaching avalanche education throughout central CO for the past 3 winters. The learning curve for splitboarders of any ability level can be frustrating and long, and after more than 15 years of learning what works and what doesn’t, Shane has developed the techniques that will help minimize that learning curve, and he truly loves sharing that with people.

Pat Gephart
Guide
Pat is originally from Pennsylvania and has been snowboarding for 20 years. Honing his skills in the parks and half pipes of the icy east coast, he eventually migrated west and has called Summit County his home for the last 7 years. After spending season after season on the resort he discovered splitboarding in 2014, quickly becoming his main focus ever since. Navigating the backcountry in Summit County’s complex snow pack helped him focus his attention to snow science and its important role in the decision making process. Through splitboarding he also developed a passion for mountaineering and climbing and now focuses on blending splitboarding with alpinism as much as possible. He is driven by the ever evolving learning process that is required while in the backcountry and loves to share it with others.
