Who We Are
CBST Adventures has been in operation since 1994 and is excited to develop a new division within CBST, Colorado Snowboard Guides. With over 20 years of combined professional outdoor guiding experience, CSG is Colorado's premier snowboard specific guide service. Created by riders and for riders we are a grassroots and local guide service that was developed with you in mind. With the increase in lift prices and capacities, more and more people are now starting to venture into the backcountry. With this increase CSG noticed the demand to fulfill an outlet for snowboarders to further their skill-sets off-piste through courses in backcountry education, guided trips, and mentorship while helping spread the passion to others. Located in the heart of Colorado, our office is our sanctuary and our goal is to bring you into the backcountry to experience what this beautiful world has to offer.
Program Director/Lead Guide
Justin Ibarra is a Colorado native and year-round guide. He is the founder of CSG and has been guiding in the outdoor industry for 11 years. The mountains are his sanctuary and he calls Summit County his home. He has been snowboarding for 18 years and with the uprise in backcountry use he quickly saw the need for snowboard specific guides in the backcountry. Quickly arose the goal to help educate and bring people into the mountains to experience their energy and beauty. Guiding on the river in the summers and on the snow in the winters he is also an AIARE Avalanche Instructor and trained by the American Mountain Guide Association. Justin has held his Wilderness First Responder for 11 years and is an AHA First Aid & CPR Instructor.
